03 / Purpose / ORIGINAL SELF-PACED PROGRAM

A Deliberate Direction

Translate what matters to you into clearer priorities and a considered next decision.

WHO IT IS FOR

Start where
you are.

People reflecting on a change, competing commitments, or a gap between their values and their calendar.

WHAT YOU WILL PRACTICE

  • Describe working values through ordinary experiences and observable behavior.
  • Map current commitments, hidden demands, shared responsibilities, and realistic capacity.
  • Compare feasible options using values, tradeoffs, uncertainties, and an information threshold.
  • Design a bounded experiment and draw conclusions proportionate to its evidence.
  • Create a sustainable commitment, clear boundary conversations, and a next-period decision plan.

WHAT YOU WILL BUILD

A program with
a finished outcome.

Your Deliberate Decision Portfolio

Document one ordinary, bounded decision from values reflection through a small experiment and a practical next-period plan. Keep the portfolio private. The aim is to make the reasoning usable, not to declare a permanent identity or resolve every life question.

Three templates to reuse

  • Values and Commitment Map
  • Decision and Experiment Record
  • Boundary and Next-Period Plan

Each includes blank prompts and a completed example.

Your 6-week suggested study plan

1

Notice What Matters

Three working values expressed in behavior and supported by ordinary examples.

2

Read Your Commitments

A commitment map with hidden demands and one clarified arrangement.

3

Make a Considered Choice

A decision note comparing realistic options and essential missing information.

4

Try and Reflect

A bounded experiment record with actual demands, evidence, and limitations.

5

Protect the Chosen Direction

A sustainable commitment statement and two clear boundary conversation drafts.

6

Review a Season of Decisions

A private decision portfolio and a next-period plan with review triggers.

Study at your own pace. The week labels are a suggested schedule, not live appointments.

YOUR COMPLETE CURRICULUM

One step builds
on the next.

6 complete text lessons, each with a worked example, practical exercises, reflection prompts and an assessment. Open each module to explore its focus.

01

Notice What Matters

Use specific experiences to explore what you value rather than choosing words only because they sound admirable.

Course exercise: Describe two moments that felt meaningful and one that felt misaligned. Identify the value expressed or missing in each.

02

Read Your Commitments

Compare stated priorities with where time and attention currently go, while recognizing obligations you cannot simply remove.

Course exercise: List five recurring commitments. Mark which express a value, meet a responsibility, or need reconsideration.

03

Make a Considered Choice

Examine an ordinary decision through values, responsibilities, tradeoffs, and information that is still missing.

Course exercise: Compare two realistic options. For each, write what it supports, what it costs, and what you need to learn.

04

Try and Reflect

Use a modest experiment to gather experience before making a larger commitment.

Course exercise: Choose one reversible action, identify what you hope to learn, and schedule a short review.

05

Protect the Chosen Direction

Translate a considered choice into clear boundaries, realistic capacity, and conversations about competing requests.

Course exercise: Write the scope, timing, limits, and review point of your chosen commitment.

06

Review a Season of Decisions

Assemble a decision portfolio and choose a proportionate direction for the next period using experience rather than a fixed identity.

Course exercise: Gather the five prior outputs and identify how your understanding changed during the program.

A value becomes visible in a choice

A value is easier to understand when you connect it to a real moment. If you choose “service,” ask when you recently made time to help and what that choice required. If you choose “honesty,” consider a conversation in which you admitted uncertainty. Your examples may reveal a more precise meaning than the word alone. They may also reveal tension: you can value generosity and still need limits, or value achievement and still protect time with people you care about.

The goal of reflection is not to produce a flawless list of priorities. It is to make the next choice more deliberate. Pick one decision that is small enough to examine honestly. Write down the options, the responsibilities involved, and the tradeoffs you can already see. If the information is incomplete, choose a way to learn more. A reversible step can help you test a direction without claiming that you have solved every question about your future. Return to your notes after taking that step. Ask what you learned about the choice and what surprised you. You may discover that an option fits well, that it needs adjusting, or that your original question was too broad. Each result gives the next decision more substance.

YOUR TURN

Choose an ordinary decision this week. Compare two options against one value and one responsibility, then identify a reversible action that would help you learn.

BEFORE YOUR NEXT STEP

Know what to expect.

What is available?

Your program includes 6 text lessons, worked examples, exercises, self-assessments, three reusable templates, a study plan, a final project and a complete downloadable workbook. A free introductory lesson and worksheet are available above.

What do you need?

A phone, tablet or computer with a browser, internet access to open lessons, and somewhere to write. No previous course is required. Download the workbook after access is granted to keep an offline copy.

Dates and payment

Choose your preferred start month and submit your details. This is a self-paced course, not a scheduled live session. The team confirms the final total, payment method and access terms before payment, then issues a private access code.

What format is it?

This is original self-guided reading material created for this website. It is not Chadd-authored instruction and does not include live coaching, video lessons or certification.

YOUR LESSONS / YOUR PACE

After payment is confirmed, the team supplies a private access code. Enter it below to read all 6 lessons, complete the activities and download the full workbook.

Your questions, answered.

What is included in this self-paced program?

The program contains 6 full written modules, worked examples, practical exercises, reflection questions, two self-check questions per module, three reusable templates with completed examples, a weekly plan, and a capstone with an evidence rubric. The complete workbook includes the teaching and activities.

How does the suggested weekly schedule work?

Use one module per week for 6 weeks, completing its deliverable before moving on. You may move more slowly, repeat an exercise, or use a clearly labeled simulation where a real situation is unavailable. The weekly structure is a study guide, not scheduled live instruction.

Are there live sessions, coaching, video lessons, or a certificate?

This is an original text-based, self-guided program. It does not include live sessions, coaching, instructor assessment, video lessons, or certification. It is not presented as teaching authored or delivered by Chadd Wright.

Do I have to share personal or workplace information?

No. Keep workbook responses private, use fictional names or a simulated situation when useful, and involve other people only by agreement. The self-check answers and capstone rubric support your own review; there is no requirement to submit sensitive records.

What does completing the program demonstrate?

You will have a practical portfolio of the course outputs and a next-step plan. Use the rubric to check whether the evidence supports your decisions. Completion does not guarantee a personal, team, professional, or financial result and does not confer a qualification.
