01 / Daily practice / ORIGINAL SELF-PACED PROGRAM

The Practice of Follow-Through

Turn an important intention into a small commitment you can repeat and review.

WHO IT IS FOR

Start where
you are.

People who start meaningful projects with energy and want a more dependable way to continue.

WHAT YOU WILL PRACTICE

  • Design one meaningful commitment with a cue, useful minimum, stopping boundary, and observable completion.
  • Use attempt records to reduce starting friction and build a practical return plan.
  • Clarify dependencies and renegotiate shared promises through a simple commitment register.
  • Explain how evidence supports changes to the practice rather than relying on a perfect streak.
  • Create a realistic next-month operating plan with review points and proportionate disruption responses.

WHAT YOU WILL BUILD

A program with
a finished outcome.

Your Follow-Through Operating Plan

Use one ordinary commitment to demonstrate a complete cycle of definition, practice, adjustment, communication, and review. Submit nothing externally: assemble the portfolio for your own use and revise it against the evidence rubric. A simulated interruption is acceptable when labeled; do not manufacture a missed promise.

Three templates to reuse

  • Commitment Design Card
  • Friction and Return Plan
  • Evidence-to-Decision Review

Each includes blank prompts and a completed example.

Your 6-week suggested study plan

1

Choose the Work

A commitment design card and at least three baseline observations where practical.

2

Make Starting Easier

A three-item starting checklist and a comparison of two starts.

3

Build a Return Plan

A tested restart minimum and a plan for two common interruptions.

4

Review What Worked

A one-page evidence review and a dated decision log.

5

Make Commitments Visible

A small commitment register with one clarified, closed, or renegotiated item.

6

Sustain the Practice

A final portfolio and a realistic next-month maintenance plan.

Study at your own pace. The week labels are a suggested schedule, not live appointments.

YOUR COMPLETE CURRICULUM

One step builds
on the next.

6 complete text lessons, each with a worked example, practical exercises, reflection prompts and an assessment. Open each module to explore its focus.

01

Choose the Work

Separate a wish from an action you can recognize when it is done. Choose one commitment that serves something you value.

Course exercise: Rewrite one vague goal as: When this cue occurs, I will do this action, and I will record completion here.

02

Make Starting Easier

Find the small decisions and practical obstacles between your intention and the first step.

Course exercise: Walk through tomorrow's starting moment. Remove one obstacle, prepare one tool, and decide what the minimum useful action will be.

03

Build a Return Plan

Treat a missed commitment as information. Design a return that does not depend on guilt, punishment, or a perfect streak.

Course exercise: Write a three-line restart plan: what I will notice, the next available cue, and the smaller action I can resume.

04

Review What Worked

Look for patterns in your records and change the design of your commitment when needed.

Course exercise: Review three attempts. Name one condition that helped, one that hindered, and one change to try next.

05

Make Commitments Visible

Build a clear record that distinguishes your next action, dependencies, renegotiated promises, and evidence of completion.

Course exercise: Create a register with commitment, owner, next action, due point, state, dependency, and evidence of done.

06

Sustain the Practice

Turn six weeks of attempts and revisions into a realistic operating plan for the next month.

Course exercise: Compare the original and current commitment, identifying what changed and the evidence behind it.

A commitment needs an edge

A useful commitment has an edge: you can tell where it begins and where it ends. “Be more disciplined” has no clear finish line for today. “After I make my morning drink, I will open my project note and write the next action” is observable. The action does not have to be impressive. It needs to move something you care about and be small enough to repeat under ordinary conditions. Choose a starting cue that already exists in your day, then describe what done will look like.

Your minimum action is a way to keep a promise realistic, not a rule that prevents you from doing more. If you have time and capacity, continue. If the day changes, the minimum still gives you a clear decision. Afterward, record what happened without turning the record into a verdict on your character. A short note such as “started late because materials were missing” tells you more than “failed again.” Use that information to prepare the next attempt. You can also set an upper boundary when enthusiasm tends to consume the rest of your day. A defined stopping point protects other commitments and makes the next start less expensive. Review both ends of the practice: how you begin and how you finish.

YOUR TURN

Choose one intention and write a cue, an observable action, a minimum version, and a stopping point. Test the description by asking whether another person could recognize completion.

BEFORE YOUR NEXT STEP

Know what to expect.

What is available?

Your program includes 6 text lessons, worked examples, exercises, self-assessments, three reusable templates, a study plan, a final project and a complete downloadable workbook. A free introductory lesson and worksheet are available above.

What do you need?

A phone, tablet or computer with a browser, internet access to open lessons, and somewhere to write. No previous course is required. Download the workbook after access is granted to keep an offline copy.

Dates and payment

Choose your preferred start month and submit your details. This is a self-paced course, not a scheduled live session. The team confirms the final total, payment method and access terms before payment, then issues a private access code.

What format is it?

This is original self-guided reading material created for this website. It is not Chadd-authored instruction and does not include live coaching, video lessons or certification.

YOUR LESSONS / YOUR PACE

After payment is confirmed, the team supplies a private access code. Enter it below to read all 6 lessons, complete the activities and download the full workbook.

Your questions, answered.

What is included in this self-paced program?

The program contains 6 full written modules, worked examples, practical exercises, reflection questions, two self-check questions per module, three reusable templates with completed examples, a weekly plan, and a capstone with an evidence rubric. The complete workbook includes the teaching and activities.

How does the suggested weekly schedule work?

Use one module per week for 6 weeks, completing its deliverable before moving on. You may move more slowly, repeat an exercise, or use a clearly labeled simulation where a real situation is unavailable. The weekly structure is a study guide, not scheduled live instruction.

Are there live sessions, coaching, video lessons, or a certificate?

This is an original text-based, self-guided program. It does not include live sessions, coaching, instructor assessment, video lessons, or certification. It is not presented as teaching authored or delivered by Chadd Wright.

Do I have to share personal or workplace information?

No. Keep workbook responses private, use fictional names or a simulated situation when useful, and involve other people only by agreement. The self-check answers and capstone rubric support your own review; there is no requirement to submit sensitive records.

What does completing the program demonstrate?

You will have a practical portfolio of the course outputs and a next-step plan. Use the rubric to check whether the evidence supports your decisions. Completion does not guarantee a personal, team, professional, or financial result and does not confer a qualification.
