06 / Preparation / ORIGINAL SELF-PACED PROGRAM

Your First Mission

Understand the steps from initial interest to a confirmed place and organize the questions a team needs to answer.

WHO IT IS FOR

Start where
you are.

First-time applicants considering an organized challenge or learning experience, before booking travel or making payment.

WHAT YOU WILL PRACTICE

  • Distinguish an interest request, an application, an acceptance, and a confirmed booking.
  • Prepare a clear statement of goals and a practical list of questions for the organizing team.
  • Create a personal checklist for reviewing an approved offer, payment instructions, and the final participation information.

WHAT YOU WILL BUILD

A program with
a finished outcome.

Your First-Mission Decision Packet

Prepare a decision packet for one experience you are considering or a clearly labeled fictional offer. Demonstrate that your aim, source information, questions, current stage and next action are coherent. No application, purchase or attendance is required to complete the exercise.

Three templates to reuse

  • Offer Comparison and Fit Matrix
  • Request Stages and Conversation Record
  • Practical Commitment and Offer Review

Each includes blank prompts and a completed example.

Your 8-week suggested study plan

1

Choose With Intention

An aim statement with essential conditions and preferences.

2

Understand the Process

A process map with evidence for each actual stage and transition.

3

Prepare the Team Conversation

A concise inquiry draft with three priority questions.

4

Review Before Committing

A written-offer review showing confirmed details and discrepancies.

5

Compare Experience Options Fairly

A comparison matrix and provisional decision note.

6

Map the Practical Commitment

An inclusions and commitments map with a final-total question.

7

Manage Changes and Keep a Clear Record

A dated request log and accurate current-state summary.

8

Assemble Your Decision Packet

A reviewed decision packet, next-action note and reflection.

Study at your own pace. The week labels are a suggested schedule, not live appointments.

YOUR COMPLETE CURRICULUM

One step builds
on the next.

8 complete text lessons, each with a worked example, practical exercises, reflection prompts and an assessment. Open each module to explore its focus.

01

Choose With Intention

Describe what you hope to learn and compare it with the experience's confirmed purpose.

Course exercise: Write three reasons you are interested, two things you need to understand, and one question that could change your choice.

02

Understand the Process

Follow the distinctions between expressing interest, applying, receiving an offer, and completing the organizer's confirmation steps.

Course exercise: Draw your current stage and the next decision. Mark any stage for which you do not yet have a written explanation.

03

Prepare the Team Conversation

Gather contact details, preferred timing, practical questions, and the information the team needs to assess the request.

Course exercise: Draft a concise inquiry with your selected experience, preferred month and year, goals, and three priority questions. Keep sensitive information out of the initial message.

04

Review Before Committing

Check the final offer, official instructions, confirmed dates, price, inclusions, terms, and access or arrival arrangements.

Course exercise: Use the confirmation checklist to identify what is confirmed in writing and what still needs a response before payment or travel.

05

Compare Experience Options Fairly

Use explicit criteria to compare offers without treating missing information as a benefit.

Course exercise: Choose two offers or clearly labeled fictional scenarios and restate your learning aim.

06

Map the Practical Commitment

Separate the listed offer from the time, arrangements and additional confirmed costs involved in participating.

Course exercise: Create included, separately required and unresolved columns from the actual written offer.

07

Manage Changes and Keep a Clear Record

Maintain one coherent request history when dates, details or instructions change.

Course exercise: Create a request log with reference, offer, current stage and next action.

08

Assemble Your Decision Packet

Bring aims, comparisons, questions and confirmation checks into one usable record for the next decision.

Course exercise: Assemble a one-page summary with aim, essential conditions, offer identity and accurate stage.

Interest is the beginning of a conversation

Submitting your details tells a team that you are interested. It does not, by itself, establish a place, acceptance, a final price, or a confirmed date. Keep the receipt and note what the team says will happen next. If you selected a preferred month, treat it as a preference until the organizer confirms a specific session. This distinction helps you ask better questions and avoid building travel plans around an assumption.

A useful first message is clear and limited. Name the experience, explain what you hope to learn, and provide the contact details the form requires. Add the questions that matter most to your decision: eligibility, dates, what is included, total cost, and what happens if plans change. The team can explain any later participation steps through an appropriate process. Before paying, make sure you understand the confirmed offer and verify that the payment instructions come from the agreed contact channel. Keep important confirmations together rather than relying on memory or scattered messages. Record the request reference, the named contact, and the next action you agreed. A simple record helps you notice unanswered questions and gives the team context when you follow up.

YOUR TURN

Draft a first inquiry in five sentences, then mark which details are preferences and which facts still require the team’s confirmation.

BEFORE YOUR NEXT STEP

Know what to expect.

What is available?

Your program includes 8 text lessons, worked examples, exercises, self-assessments, three reusable templates, a study plan, a final project and a complete downloadable workbook. A free introductory lesson and worksheet are available above.

What do you need?

A phone, tablet or computer with a browser, internet access to open lessons, and somewhere to write. No previous course is required. Download the workbook after access is granted to keep an offline copy.

Dates and payment

Choose your preferred start month and submit your details. This is a self-paced course, not a scheduled live session. The team confirms the final total, payment method and access terms before payment, then issues a private access code.

What format is it?

This is original self-guided reading material created for this website. It is not Chadd-authored instruction and does not include live coaching, video lessons or certification.

YOUR LESSONS / YOUR PACE

Open your course.

After payment is confirmed, the team supplies a private access code. Enter it below to read all 8 lessons, complete the activities and download the full workbook.

Your questions, answered.

Does this course enroll me in a 3 of 7 training mission?

No. It is an original self-paced decision and inquiry resource. Completing it does not establish eligibility, acceptance, payment or a reserved place with any organizer.

Do I need to buy or apply for anything to complete it?

No. You can complete every exercise using clearly labeled fictional offers and unsent drafts. A purchase or real application is not a course requirement.

Does it provide prices or payment instructions for other offers?

No. It teaches you how to record published information and ask for the actual final offer, authorized payment process and applicable terms. Any example amount is explicitly fictional.

What if I am waiting for an organizer’s answer at the end?

Your final packet can identify the unanswered question and recommend waiting or asking for clarification. Course completion does not require inventing an answer or making a premature commitment.

What will I produce in the suggested eight weeks?

An aim statement, process map, inquiry draft, offer review, comparison matrix, practical commitment map, change log and reviewed decision packet. Allow roughly 8–10 hours of course work, separate from real response times.
